Initial Assessment: $180 within a 12-mile radius, travel charges apply outside of this area
Additional services: Coaching and additional services start at $90 per hour
Gardener by Nature offers residential landscape consultations, coaching, workshops and presentations for those who want to create a home landscape beneficial to birds, bees, and other native wildlife.
Successful habitat creation begins with an evaluation of the existing site conditions and vegetation. We help clients clarify goals with a focus on their available time and resources. Keeping a landscape’s maintenance needs in mind from the outset generates long term success.
Initial Assessments
Consultation services begin with an initial assessment, which includes a “walk and talk” discussion of clients’ goals and evaluation of existing plantings, with recommendations for changes. I offer coaching and additional services after the initial consultation at an hourly rate.
Workshops
I offer workshops designed to get you in the garden. Topics include habitat creation, site assessment, soil preparation and more. While workshops are targeted for beginners, interested gardeners of all experience levels are welcome. Workshops are conducted at Swiftbrook Gardens near Lake Wheeler and include hands-on activities. Participants should dress in comfortable attire that is appropriate for outdoor activities.
Presentations
As part of my goal to get you in the garden, I offer presentations and talks on native plants, sustainable practices, and other gardening topics, which are suitable for garden clubs, other groups and gardening events.
